Title: benzo pyrrole help
Post by: elosejohn on July 23, 2004, 12:46:00 AM
im gonna start school in the fall, but i have some free time so im tryin to get started, i see a lot of synths are altered forms of this ring,

so im tryin to find out how i can learn to disect these rings, so i can ask decent questions and learn,

my first problem is the postional numbering of the the benzo and pyrrole ring , especially concerning the fusion of the two rings, i have tried to find sites on the web to educate me on this but to no avail

from what i understand indole is made from phenylhydrazine and pyruvic, but im lost in the understanding of devolping this product from these reagents any direction to information on this process would help

Benzopyrrole is also known as indole, so if you search for "indole numbering" at google.com you will arrive at the answer.
