Anhydrous Lithium Bromide?
« on: November 24, 2001, 03:43:00 AM »
I know that one could easily buy this, but I'm still interested in how it can be made from lithium carbonate. I went to

http://gb.espacenet.com/

and one of the results was:

SU1038282  PROCESS FOR PRODUCING LITHIUM BROMIDE
Publication Date: 1983-08-30

I don't mind translating, but this patent didn't even have an abstract to go with it. Can anyone get their hands on this? Any procedures would be much appreciated! Peace!

1983.  It should be on the shelf at one place I know of.  They go up to 1998 there.  Higher ones have to be ordered.  I take a look next week.  Remind me if I forget.  BTW, are you talking about getting the English abstract or the patent in Russian?

English would be convenient, but Russian's not a problem with all the translating software out there. Thanks and happy cooking! 8)

I don't know if they would have an English abstract, but sometimes there are ones in some people's collections.  Usually its from Derwent.
