could 5-hydroxytryptophan ever be isomerized into 4-hydroxytryptophan? and eventaully to tryptamine. so when it goes dimethyl it will be 4-oh dmt(psylocin)? or is it more applicable to begin from tryptophan (tryptamine)?

"could 5-hydroxytryptophan ever be isomerized into 4-hydroxytryptophan?"

NO, NO, NO, NO
If you don't have a clue, then post in the """NEWBEE""" forum.   Tell me how you would isomerize it?  What reagents would make this transformation?

"or is it more applicable to begin from tryptophan (tryptamine)?"

Yes

"so when it goes dimethyl it will be 4-oh dmt(psylocin)?"

If that is what you want then grow some mushrooms.  If DMT is what you want then research extracting it from plant based sources.

You could make 5 OH DMT if you decarboxylated and the dimethylated. But that's bufo isn't it? Toad poison.

There's no way to turn that into methoxy short of some really complicated chemistry you'd have to protect that amine somehow before you could turn it into a methoxy.

You could make serotonin easily  ;D .

I know naaaathing.
