In reference to

https://www.thevespiary.org/rhodium/Rhodium/chemistry/nitroalkane.html

producing nitroethane from sodium nitrite:

Can DCM be substituted for the pet. ether used to extract the nitroethane from the rxn mixture?

Simple question, maybe, but an important one that I have not found the answer to yet.  Perhaps I am using the wrong keywords for TFSE...

Anyways I look forward to hearing from you all.  Thanks!
