While reading P2P synthesis from chloroacetone on Rhodium's site I came up with an idea for this synthesis.
1,3-benzodioxole + chloroacetone --> MDP2P
If it works with benzene I think it should work with 1,3-benzodioxole too. The only problem are the yields, which are kinda low with benzene. Any comments or suggestions?

Or yould could also use the Mn(III) catalyzed version, but in both cases you'll also end up with the 2,3-methylenedioxy-P2P.

How can 2,3-MDP2P be separated from 3,4-MDP2P? Would a fractional vacuum distillation work? What is the boiling point of 2,3-MDP2P?

If you read TSII, then you'd know that AlCL3 tears the methylenedioxy ring all to shit. The 1,3 benzodioxole+chloroacetone synth can never work.
