He's some 2cb for dummies tips.
keep Lithium aluminium hydride away from ALL moisture sources.
and Be REALLY anal about drying reaction solvents.
Read the MSDS's.

Elfchemist has spoken wisely--dry dry dry for LAH.

I'm also trying to buy intermediates (namely 2,5-dimethoxyphenyl-2-nitroethane) from an English chemical company...

If I can get this intermediate, it's one step catalytic hydrogenation to 2 C-H, and then a simple bromination with HBr and hydrogen peroxide (not Br2--yuck!).

Will keep Bees posted...

Legality depends on where you are. And that kind of paper trail is a bad thing to have if you hypothetically intend to naughtify such a "benign" compound.

Besides, 2C-H is expensive, and it is more clandestinely fun to synthesize your own naughties.  ;)

I'm sure that English company is really looking forward to you ordering that nitrostyrene.

What makes you think they will supply you with an obvious drug precursor?

I'm not fat just horizontally disproportionate.

Erase the first two statements in your last post, NightFiend, for your own good.
