This happened last year... Not much interesting in the video except how shitty the conditions of the lab.

You'd think they'd take the time/effort to keep the working conditions clean due to monetary concerns at least...  I wonder how much product they were losing simply due to the shoddy equipment.

I did note the untidiness but my thoughts went to wondering what process were they utilizing.
I did not come to terms with that.

probably leuckard reaction, but i dont understand for what they used all these tanks conceted to a big tube, maybe they are some sort of reactors and the big tube conecting them is somethink like a condenser ? Why havent we seen a chemical reactors from china in large scale clandestine laboratories, are they too hard to import safely and set up and work with it ? There is small ones that might be easier to import, so there is a lot of choises but still no-one uses them ?

In the video say they find a lot of pseudoephedrine... Reduction/deoxigenation.  8)

i didnt use voice just was intrested whats theyr equipment and was quite disapointeed and now when i know they were using pseudoephedrine, i woud say what a bastards :D I imagine how much pseudo they have buyed/imported and at what prices where the bmk glycedate price is droping and droping(including the readily avaiable otc ways of producing p2p), i woud bet 50grams of theyr ephedrine had cost them more than for a kilo of the glycedate and the leuckard i think is much more easy than that presuirized reaction that they are using  :-X

I remember reading about an Australian lab bust a few years back and it was notable for its capacity (huge, multi-multi kilo) and that some photos from the bust appeared to show large stainless steel pressurised reaction vessels. Seemed like they'd probably optimised the hell out of the one route and just cranked product out.

Hooloovoo, i think that one was the Steven Spaliviero one. I saw that on telly in a episode of Aussie crime kings.
This article tells more about him & probably the pics of the huge sep funnels, used fir the glycidic reaction.

In this i find that he's written a book about it. Now that should be interesting.

Whoa - those pictures are even bigger than I remember - bigger than the rxn vessels I read about. They're fookin' massive!

Yep, i never knew anything about his earlier exploits, the Aussie crime kings programme focused only on that part of the story.
They did show how he was using a emptied out waterbed bladder & heat pads to dry the powders, i think thats how he got caught, it may have started a fire. Or it might have been that they knew something was going on and used that as a excuse.
Those stainless sep funnels, he got them made up for him. One of the engineers was going to testify so he tried to get a hitman & thats when it fell apart.
I cant wait to read the book, info straight from the source.

And the welding in the OP video... It looks like silvery bird shit, its been done with a rod, not TIG. Pretty scarey really if there's pressures involved. Most of it looks like its been bought from a scrapmetal yard ( which is a good idea for that scale of things ) & one wouldnt even need a excuse or reason to buy it.
Standard price seems to be "twice the scrap value".
Im setting up a homebrew 'still at the moment. Same setup really. ( Its legal to home brew here ).

Why these guys don't just get CAD drawings of their reactors made by their crack head mate who used to be a CAD draughtsman before the meth took over, then split the components up to be fabricated at various engineering outfits, not one outfit fabbing the whole thing, then get their mate Gonzo who works night shift fried out of his mind TIG welding and get that battler to weld it up. Untraceable.
