buffered vs unbuffered oxone, h2so4 vs thermal

Unbuffered oxone yields the glycol. Buffered oxone yields the expoxide + the glycol which ideally are rearranged seperately. Swim is Pre filtering of course.

For efficiency and yield which method is better, also which rearrangement is better h2so4 or thermal?

I did use tfse, read a bunch and cant seem to draw any definite conclusions, with people on both sides of all of it.

Buffered seems the better of the 2 but barely.

run it buffered.  then vac distill your epoxide. Then thermaly rearrange it.  it works great.
