LiOH + HCl -> LiCl + H2O
You cannot practically make lithium from anything without resorting to electrolysis of molten lithium salts using an inert atmosphere. This technique has been discussed before, UTFSE.

Or you could just get it from batteries. However, it sounds to me like your knowledge of chemistry is perhaps too small to effectively perform a Birch reduction. The reaction and the apparatus required for it are extremely dangerous. You could severely burn yourself with ammonia, or cause an explosion. I suggest looking at Rhodium's site for Mr. Clean's guide to Birch reduction, then after you've been convinced that it's too dangerous, read up on matchbooks and red phosphorus.
