Title: Pseudo-2C-X compounds accessible?

, as well as Chem. Pharm. Bull. 39(9), 2400-2407 (1991) (quoted in that patent) describes the alkylation (1. BuLi 2. E⁺, or AlCl₃ + ClCH₂COCl) of various 1-substituted (Halo, Alkyl, Trifluoromethyl) 3,5-Dimethoxybenzenes, which make excellent precursors for pseudo-2C-X compounds (4-substituted 2,6-dimethoxyphenethylamines).

These compounds should be about equipotent to the 2C-X counterparts, as well as showing a similar spectrum of effects. That should also be legal in many parts of the world. Further reading on this topic:
