epichlorohydrin rearrange to chloroacetone
« on: August 24, 2004, 05:33:00 AM »
Hi, just wondering if anybee knows whether epichlorohydrin can bee rearranged to chloroacetone  in similar way to MDP2P from safrole method...

Epichlorohydrin seems fairly easy to make, if this worked it would produce relatively pure monochloroacetone, free of other products that might form if acetone was chlorinated directly.
