OTC piperonal source
« on: July 22, 2002, 10:34:00 AM »
Certain brands of Lice powder or "Louse powder" contain Piperonal, tea tree oil, and cedarwood oil. It is available OTC as a natural lice killer powder for horses, and birds.

Still searchin' the net for the percentage of piperonal in this powder..so maybe you bees can help me with that?

Piperonal can be made into beta-nitroisosafrole, a precursor for synth of either mdp2p or electrochemical reduction to mda freebase.

Oh and BTW most of these sources are from the UK.

I've seen concentrations of 2%, and would not expect much more from OTC sources.

The 2% piperonal concentrations you are talking about is for the lice spray, not the powder. I am still looking for the concentrations for the powder...

Also these powder comes in containers from 250g-3kg for about $10/kilo

The packs i have seen, are about 100 g.
The cost is reasonable if one were to process a small amount.
EDIT: sorry hidden cloud  :-[ . Your powders look better!
