If you are a newbee, then the synthesis is probably not for you.
The synthesis of Xanax (Alprazolam) is similar to the synth of
"Clonitrazolam" (https://www.thevespiary.org/rhodium/Rhodium/chemistry/clonazepam.html)
(https://www.thevespiary.org/rhodium/Rhodium/chemistry/clonazepam.html) at my site, Alprazolam just has different substituents (the starting material will be 2-amino-5-chloro-benzophenone instead of 2-amino-2'-chloro-5-nitrobenzophenone), and looks like in the picture below:
