Does anyone have idea if this substances (alpha-thujone or beta-thujone) have a synthesis published somewhere?

It's made in the nature, you can by it for almost free. And I'm sure that the total synthesis i loooong and hard to come over.

Wormwood oil - 99% thujone (1L) = $300
I wouldn't call that cheap :p

The synthesis would be a best way, i think

synthesis of thujone vs its purchase at $300.00/L ......

buy the stuff- saves time, MONEY, effort, requires no chemicals, labs, glassware, etc.

are you familiar with synthesis at all?

Indeed i am.

I have a nice lab setup (wich i bought in my college days), and have been boughting new stuff

Also reagents or no problem since chemistry (more like genetics/biochemistry) is my area

Glad if you could supply a synthesis of the said subtance

As late as 1981, thujone was preferentially isolated from natural oils over synthesis... It is not especially easy to synthesize a molecule consisting of a cyclopentane-cyclopropane bicycle with two chiral alkyl groups.
