HCL + NH3 = Ammonium Chloride + ?
The ? doesnt concearn me as much as the easy addition reaction of ,lets say, muratic acid + 99.99% pure ammonia, equalling ammonium chloride salt. Is this as simple as it sounds? I've pondered about the ammonia needing some H2O with it. But for the most part, It's a straight forward way of producing ammonium chloride salt....????
NO/Yeah?
Yes.
Muriatic acid and ammonia water = ammonium chloride.
What do you meanĀ 99.99% ammonia?
Do you mean gaseous ammonia? have fun.... ::)
personally, rather use somewhat diluted, 30-40%??? and gas with HCl... ???
And yes your right, its a+b reaction...
acid + base --> salt + water (not water here though)
HCl + NH3 --> NH4Cl
What do you meanĀ 99.99% ammonia?
Just the shit in liquid form that boasts of being pure ammonia. As opposed 2 lemon scented. :P
