I stole an opportunity to sneak a quick peek into swims buddies illustrated dream diary and this is what I've brought back from it.

I know that this level of crystal farming is mere childsplay to the seasoned rock candy veterans out there but there was a time I would have been quite impressed by these so I document them here for that former self and others similar in spirit to be impressed (or not) with.
Procedure was an outgrowth of what I call Worlock's newbee recryst method

4 grams of "virgin top cream pulls" taken from initial titrations of a 16gram batch
125ml acetone
30ml 99% isopropanol
Crystals were allowed to initially form with the flask sitting on the hot plate as it slowly cooled. The hot plate was gently reheated twice to melt away wimpy sized fuzz and hair-like formations afterwhich it was finally left to sit without disturbance for a full 6 hours.
After this point the flask shots were taken.
Next the flask was transferred to the freezer for another 6 hours resulting in an 8ball of jumbo shards somewhat reminiscent of what is sometimes referred to as "murder".
Conclusion notes for the "duh" archives
- larger amounts increase chances of bigger crystal formation
- in this realm of experimentation the lack of patience is quite possibly your worst enemy
Aside from the central penny in the flask shots all size reference coins are either silver dollars or half dollars.

I relayed to swim's buddy the response to my public airing of his dirty diary and his response was.....
"if anyone claimed to have experienced excess salivation as a result of viewing the images then I'll consider the public response portion of the experiment to be a full success"
PS - he was also a bit disappointed that no comments were made about the 2 dollar bill. But he can be a bit stupid about unrelated and irrelevant details like that.
might be a stupid question but what kinda alcohol did you use?
iso? denatured? ect.

While we are on the subject of recrystallization does anyone have any techniques/tricks to grow more unique/appealing crystals than all normal shards? not for resale purposes but just to experiment or want something different than your normal crystal chunks
I've heard of people using methyl sulfonyl methane (not cutting it to shit, but throwing 1 or 2 grams in with oh say 14grams of white powdered meth doing a slow rextalization over a week or so NO DISTURBANCES AT ALL (or waiting for half of the solution to evap),chucking it in a icebath or the freezer for a few hours on harvest day and ending up with wide thick clear jewels that seem to have many clear,thin layers stacked on top of eachother.
anyone have any suggestions?
or any other food safe chemicals that might work?

I've also heard of people adding flavor to it by spreading the crystals on newspaper and getting your choice of non cfc aerosol potpouri and spraying 1-2 small/quick light mist about 1-2 feet away from the newspaper and blow lightly to get a real light mist on the xtals, dry with a fan
(coconut and watermelon was going around here for a little bit, the only way to fuck it up is spraying way to much, a dark room with a light where your spraying it would be pretty easy to see the mist in the air allowing you to control where it goes with your breath.
BTW did anyone ever write that writeup on flavored stuff, I can't remember what flavor it was..I want to say vanilla but I'm not sure.. (I remember reading something like "stay tuned for _______ flavored meth writeup"a while back and never reading it, I wonder if it was this technique or another
My opinion on colored product:
Alot of tweekers think just because its colored the crystals are hella good, better than normal clear shards, when I see colored shit the first thing I think is >impurities >by products >chef fucked up on a batch, or half assed it. I'm sure alot of bee's belive clean slowly rextalized meth is almost always CLEAR not colored,and also cracked back clear until the bowl is dusted
in theory water will take longer to to evavorate than . iso, thus giving more time for meth xtals to grow longer.

(buzybee: "larger crystals", Stimulants)Methyl ethyl ketone can be subbed for acetone in methods of crystal cultivation which rely on evaporation as it dries at a much slower rate. Personally there is something about it's smell that turns my stomach so I avoid it's use when possible.
Plus I've yet to develop the needed patience for anything longer than a one days duration.
Jeeze I never thought when this was first posted that in a mere two months I might look back at it and, due to the new era of gakk infestations, say "those were the days".
Of course I don't fully buy into that defeatist and pessimistic attitude but it does display a certian envy concerning the relative ease in which swim's buddy once partook in such an exploratory experiment.
And lucky for him he's scraped together at least enough older era rainy day psuedo to now get one final similar experiment's worth to enjoy within this newly gakked up era. He'll surely be savoring it as if it'll his last one. As it very well might bee.

Too bad the state fairs don't have a meth category where a panel judges the qualities of various county entries for the best in show, cleanest buzz, BIGGEST SHARDS etc. That is my vision of a more likeable place to live, (sigh)
