SWIM found an old box in one of his relative's basement a few days ago while helping them out, the relative has a bunch of breathing problems and thyroid problems, that person also worked as a x-ray tech all their lives, anyway, the box said ISOVUE-300 syringe included, 30% organically bound iodine solution, does anyone know what this is used for and/or how it can be sublimed? The actual iodine wasn't in the box but SWIM thinks he can bum some off this relative if it is relative (get it, it's a pun)
Run an electric current through it.. If I recall correctly I2 will be collected around the anode. This is if it is in an aqueous solution to Begin with.
It is used for x-rays. Here ya go:

Iopamidol, C17H22I3N3O8
molar mass: 777.15 g/mol

> Iopamidol is a tri-iodinated non-ionic water-soluble contrast medium
In other words, the iodine is not available for extraction.
