SWIM followed MM writeup and threw in some nitroethane instead of nitromethane, 25ml's instead of 20. The reaction went really smooth didnt choke the condensor at an addition rate of 3-4 drops per second. 25g of ketone was used, 30g Al, allowed to spin for 2h after addition was finished. basified, extracted, washed, dried and gassed to get a little over 20g of the hydrochloride. SWIM is sure you all already knew this but what the heck, boredom struck and SWIM felt like typing it out anyways :(

the neighbors cat sorta bought it for company reasons, in excess, NitroE was tested and Xtra basically given to the cat. cats are evil i tell you! evil!
