can anybee point me in the right direction for making this compound a non shulgin way? experience,refs anything would bee appreciated

Check my page for several dozen "non-shulgin" ways of synthesizing amphetamine derivatives (there are no specific ones there for 4-MTA though). 

Why would you want to perform that synthesis? The effects of 4-MTA are boring to mediocre, and it is pretty toxic and have lead to several deaths by itself, and not in combination with other substances. Ingestion of this compound is not reccommended.

try to make it via the dihalo derivitaves. anethol is already a propenylbenzene enerything is pretty OTC here.  for good yeilds someone recommended condensing the ketone with hydroxlamine then al/hg.  there are better ways but it seems that you are looking for OTC method

Vibrating: There is no propenylbenzene corresponding to 4-MTA, which is 4-methylthioamphetamine, so you cannot make it from anethole.

My mistake. I was not aware of 4-mta i thought Reducton was refering to 4-Ma or Pma.
