A glas blowing studio in your city will sell suplies.  The big orange H***e d***t  also will order glass tubing for you, and they sometimes have it in stock.  Most glass blowers shops that have an actual blower at them, will sell you some tubing, even if they generally don't.  Gotta think that you know some ppl who blow glass though.

Neon signs are made by means of glass blowing, there should be a signmaking shop around somewhere  

But neon signs aren't constructed from borosilicate glass, I believe that they are made with a lime or leaded glass.

True, which is a serious safety hazard during many operations using flammable organic solvents, but that's a lot different than using OTC glass tubing that works just fine    It's a lot easier to bend and shape than pyrex, since it can bee done with a propane torch  

you need, but the suppermarket sells h2o things for rats and g/pigs. And the head shops around here sell it by the foot.
