Sup beez, just curious about this, all those MeAm synth's going around and then I stumbled across a couple of supposed "sources" for MeAm.HCl - I don't get it, is this stuff legit? I mean yea yea I know it's got "dual-uses", but so does Sassafras Albidium & that's considered a precurser.

I'm curious about MeAm. I haven't found it to be on any "lists" or "schedules". Does that mean it's readily available for purchase? Any info on legals of MeAm in US/Canada would be interesting. I assume there are differences.

just because there are no list' or schedules does not mean anything. they still watch certaiin chems regardless of location. the reason people manufacture this chem is because it is a suspicious chem, therfore, hence better and safer to make..

Sure you can place an order with a chemical supplier in Canada to buy methylamine. Problem is, they'll likely order it from the states or from a big chem supplier like Fisher. Your good luck will stop there. There's been some stories posted about this on the Hive, dig for info.

I wonder how US universities handle this, chemicals like I2, rP, methylamine, PAA, acetic anhydride etc. are quite common in laboratories, how do they manage to keep them under control and avoid 'abuse' or theft?

My school's policy:  No students in the stockroom.
