swim knows a source of glb which also contains  alcoholethoxylate. swim doesn't know what this is and howto get rid of it.

Have you done the obvious and checked the BP of this substance to see if it can be separated with distillation?
Have you checked its solubility in various solvents as compared with the lactone?
