Well I got in my power few hundred of pills containing the following:
Clorphenamine...............3mg
Paracetamol.................350mg
HCL Pseudoephedrine.........60mg

Is it posibble for me to get a good yield out of that kind of pills and which will be the best way to do it, or should I look for some other kind?

I would stick to a brand of pill that does not contain Paracetamol as I have heard that it is a real bugger to get around, not that Prov is any easier like! I am sure there is a way to do this (always is in the hive), but if your just starting out I would stick to another pill WITHOUT Paracetamol.

cold water plus dry acetone boil to rid of the two then a/b

I think my pills (dont list inactives, but are very small and EU pills) ar filled with only withstarch or something .

The reason for this is that i tried a water boil, and it turned to gel...

Should i try to wash with cold dh20, then acetone boil and AB?

I think i read that l-ephdrine is bare soluble in water .. How do i AB this? I have only done ab with h20.

Don't make it so complicated.
Extract with water, filter, basify and extract the freebase.
Or extract with alcohol, filter and evaporate.

And extract 3x with IPA (20ml pr 6g of pill mass), but all i got was 0.5 g out of 3 possible....

6g pillmass = 3g e.hcl

I let all extractions stand 25 minutes before filtering...

I read that you only got 0.5gm from 3 grams available.
If you still have that pill mass, maybe you could try adding 150mL alcohol, and heating the whole lot, and then filter off the alcohol while it's still hot. Solutes are generally more soluble in HOT solvents.

This may improve your yield.

Now that i have separated the two, what would bee the best way of testing for purity?

I tried to burn on foil.
It caught fire and left no residue, just discolored the foil...

But im sure other inactives can do the same.

Also try to heat it slowly (so it does not catch fire), by putting an little on aluminum foil on a hotplate.
