Who told you that catalytic converters contain hydrogenation catalysts?

i love these weird 'otc' methods people come up with... for the entertainment value...

i dont even know whats in the car catalytic converters, if you have a ref for that info yeah maybe but seperating it from other shit and whatever.... good luck.

the catalytic converters typically contain us$15 worth of platinum, although this does not really say how much by weight, due to fluctuations in price of platinum.

It contains a mixture of different precious metals.

Actually, this is an interesting idea, because if it worked for hydrogenation, with rhodium, it could probably reduce aromatics to cyclic alkanes. Very handy.

Actually, it would be cool to put the beads in solution as CTH catalyst, easy to separate afterwards.
