The sumptoms have now subsided 3 years later

1,4-BDO is not much worse than gbl as a ghb prodrug. there isnt really a problem for the liver due to the tiny amounts needed. gbl has a little more recreational value but thats about it. one little problem with bdo is that it somehow lets the joints ache a bit at the beginning but this subsides. if you can manage a regular ghb intake (thats where it almost always ends) you can very well go with bdo. but ghb is a rather hard drug, thats clear. constant redosing, sleep problems without it, agitation after some doses and the potential to do dumb things on it. it produces a withdrawal that last about 1-3 days, but a one time benzo dose helps perfectly to come off of it.
