Ergot Alkaloids
Hans Kobel and Jean-Jacques Sanglier

Abstract
A book chapter, written by chemists at Sandos Pharmaceuticals where LSD was discovered and its chief commercial producer through the mid 1960s. The article covers ergot as a source of ergot alkaloids and covers analytical issues, pharmacology and therapeutic uses of ergot derivatives, the life cycle of ergot, how the alkaloids are formed in the organism, culture dynamics, issues involved with commercial production of ergot alkaloids, creation of new genotypes, biosynthetic routes, and other topics.

Ties together in one place the research in Ergot Alkloids over many decades. I would estimate that this was published in the mid 1970's.
