I can code for you guys

I am a heavy software programmer, and i got a good knowledge on web based coding although its not my favorite category of programming. I can program a database using SQL, PHP, and similar databases. I would like to also know the design The Vespiary is going for as far as site function. Would you like to possibly move the experiences and such to a more Site based view rather than the forum, much like on Erowid? I'm here if you need me! I also lead/own an independent game design team, so I could easily use any members from there for Graphics design, more coders, and what not. I am currently taking my 2nd year of a web design course, although I have had much knowledge before the classes.

Well, first of all i would like to know your curret server setup. Are you running the server on a computer at your house? Are you paying for a server? If you are paying for the server, does the service provider provide FTP support? Perhaps you have a messenger client so we can discuss this more efficiently?

Oh, well its coming along, but somethings came up that has made it difficult to work on it much.
Here is a picture of what it will look like, but the top picture with the logo will be modified and look better, as you can tell the flask and a few other things look a bit funky.  I think.


What do you guys think of that?

Oh nice! That looks really good actually, are all the other pages going to be modified and such to have the same color and themes as the front page?

Yeah I'd hope, other wise it would pretty weird. I like that color better then the blue we have now.

I also like the colors in the mockup, I think they go well with the picture. I think the blue perhaps goes a little to well with the picture? I don't know, but also the blue goes well with the forum color to some degree so that is kind of nice since it still ties everything together.

Oh yeah good point, I can always change the forum theme though if we feel it important that everything feels needs to look similiar.
I just choose this theme since it seems like it is easy to use, and read.

This mockup , is this what its going to look like? I like that more then the current welcome screen. If someone dont come thru for you Vesp Hit me up, I have some experiance in this area and could take that mock up and incorperate a few Div overlays to bring all the links to life. Doing this the links can also be images instead of Text also(like custom links ect)

I've had little time lately to do very much at all when it comes to coding. I have a little bit of understanding in CSS and HTML, but not much more then that.

The person who was originally going to help me work on this site, got into some petty troubles and haven't heard from him much sense. I have also found a few other people who would like to help, or would be willing to but that never goes through, so if you'd like to work on it sedit, I would be very thankful (not that I'm not already, you've really have helped this forum a lot!)

I could pretty much make it however you'd like, as long as it looks nice and run it by me every now and then :)

Yeh it should be no problem at all, Like I said Im a little rusty but no matter a month or so and I should get my web legs back fully.

Let me get the majority of the Web page im working on with the chemistry files all to where it needs to be(problems with the folders) and ill start to see what i can do with this. I really like that one file that shows the opening a few post up and when using div overlays any picture cxan become the link aslong as I map it out correctly. Ill try to get the bugs worked out on the library tonight and get it up to standards enough to link to the main lib and ill see what I can come up with for ya.

Been doing graphical art since highschool where I was taking tech classes for that and computer sciences before I got expelled, Iv been and artist since I was little but latly got away from drawing for more 3d ceramic works.
