I just found an article that compared the oral and transdermal administration routes of scopolamine for the treatment of motion sickness.

It mentioned that the oral administration of scopolamine was "the only detrimental effect" and the transdermal route is more effective with minimal side effects. So my theory that scopolamine isn't absorbed through the skin is partially wrong. Scolopamine does get through but some (evil) part of it is not absorbed.
