novel psychedelic and empathogenic opioid possiblities
« on: September 01, 2010, 04:52:44 AM »
Lately I have been reading about indolic opioids and other synthetic opioids.
What intrigues me is the structural pattern these share with the common synthetic opioids like prodine.
Tertiary amine and secondary alcohol after the first carbon chain from the aromatic ring(7-Hydroxymitragynine).
Now in TiHKAL indoles with stuff on the 2 position had a relatively insignificant psychedelic effect if any psychedelic effect.
My idea is say something like [3-[2-(dimethylamino)ethyl]-4-hydroxy-3H-indol-3-yl acetate] technically an analogue of psilocin only with the secondary alcohol ester,
could possibly share the same psychedelic attributes of it's cousin. My other idea is based off lefetamine and tapentadol.
Both sharing a similar structure to phenethylamines, lefetamine obviously more so. Some 4 position stuff or MDO could yeild very interesting results.
In fact I have a slight hunch that 4-methyl-2-(dimethylamino)-1-phenylbutan-1-one could have some opioid activity.

Just some ideas though. 8)
