Want Public Domain Science Documents

All right, so I am working on a "small" project and I need as many  public domain documents pertaining to science as possible.

I'm having a heck of a time finding any significant amount of these however. I know of course sciencemadness has a bunch, but I'd like more and pertaining to biology as well as chemistry.

How can I go about finding public domain documents, books, journals, etc?
Any helps or links would be greatly appreciated!

Google books is the first place I'd go then Internet archive

After Googles big project Microsoft got going on it too so the internet archive has some books Google doesn't

Here's a search of materia medica at the internet archive.

The World Health Organization has all it's monograph books available for free at it's site.

Thank you very much! I will have to look around and find some of the stuff that fits my needs. Hopefully some good public domain books will be found :)
