i have this thing about not wanting to learn another scripting language... i swore i was done and wouldnt need to learn more when i had to learn VB6, VB.Net, Perl, Python, and C#/+... but i guess not. i cant seem to escape php. it has too many uses and runs correctly on both M$ and multi-*nix platforms... which was a huge plus when you need transaction statistics, but your backend DB srver is Sun OS 5.8 and your front-end websrv is a M$ IIS.
check out the links on this page. im not sure how far along you are, so sorry if the material is remedial...
http://designblurb.com/beginner-php-learning-resources/personally, as a non-beginner i find the most valuable source to bee the php forums. those guys are really good and can figure out a lot of shit if you give the place a chance and spend some time establishing yourself. as with most forums, the more you have your face around and are known as a helper, the more help you get. i have never had a problem remain unresolved for more than 1 day and in most cases, they figure it out within 6-8 hours. i can find solutions just by UTMFSE at these forums:
www.phpfreaks.com/www.devnetwork.net/i assume your using php along with the forum so this is probably the most useful to you:
www.phpbb.com/and the last resource collection are the torrents. i dont know what your into or trying to learn specifically, so just type 'php' into the piratebay.com search bar and download what you fancy...
