Board idea, Computer Aided Drug Design.

I had already asked vesp about this but I want to know if anyone other than me is interested in a board/topic for computer aided drug design of novel compounds. To talk about ones findings, experiments, personal tests and animal tests, in vitro receptor tests, drug design software(possibly/eventually homebrew programs?) and laws that might restrict research etc. If i remember correctly some of the open source docking software allows for distributed computing too. It would be awesome to see viable novel compounds being made by a group of people on the net  8) Anyone interested???

It certainly isn't hard for me to add an additional subforum - but do you guys really think this would have a lot of discussion? It would be impressive to see this stuff advance and be discussed, but it seems like if people were interested in this sort of thing, it would have appeared into the Den of Iniquity...

I am for it, IFF it wouldn't just clutter the forum...

I would rather have it me "There are a lot of these types of posts, so we should make a category for them" instead of "I want too see a lot of these posts, so I will make a category for them"
Who else is interested in this?

If I created this subforum, would you guys also invite other people you know are interested in at least that specific subject, to aid in the discussion?

Personally, I think that the pharmacology board is good enough.. receptor modeling is called "molecular pharmacology."

Well, we also have a chemistry board.

I had also been thinking the pharmacology board - it doesn't get enough use I would like to see, but this place is mostly chemists, not pharmacologists it seems - while BL is the opposite. I would like to see more pharmacology discussion, and especially some serious collaboration with computer aided drug design. - but it isn't like making a board about it will produce discussion about it...

However - lots of discussion about it, will produce a board about it. :D
