I have found sources that claim this plant, Aconitum napellus has ephedrine in its roots, and perhaps other parts of the plants. Also the cardiotoxin and neurotoxins it contains seem to degrade into ephedrine. This might be useful, though it seems like it is in low quantities, I still found in rather interesting and perhaps its other relatives have more ephedrine related alkaloids.
All right, this plant is really toxic, but I figured I might as well post it and this can be the discussion of plants in general that are potential sources of amphetamine, or ephedrine related compounds. The obvious ones are ephedra and some sida species. Any others? I know some time of legume actually contains methamphetamine, though in very low levels.
