Thats exactly what i'm talking about. Most is more then likely Phenylacetic acid however there will still be small clicks of Rp/I which will not have the same smell.

Same goes for Ecstacy. Some may have one smell while another route will have a totally different smell.

i've had mdma hcl smell of isosafrole before but typically it has zero smell at all.  i've had people argue with me that mdma hcl has a smell but i swear it does not, any smell is from impurities

 Back in the late 70's early eighties, there was some Seriouly powerful amphetamines about,
  0.1g Orally would send me charging for at least 10hrs,,until "the aches" set in, and it was, either crash, as I usually did (or, 'have more' which I very rarely did, Maybe once or twice)...I was "young and bulletproof" and 'recovered quickly' things are  a tad different as I write- Neither Good nor Bad,,just "Different"
  But this stuff STANK like someones bacteria infested, MAJOR PONG old runners and that, was the 'Product' which as I said, was FUCKING Strong, But it STANK!!!
 I did get given a final filter paper encrusted with 'product' which did not smell at all (to a human?) but tasted fine!,,but it had one Solid Effect!

   Street Speed   Always Stank back then!!! at $30-$50 a gm for smelly shard?

  Any ideas on the smell-It was some 'breakdown product' in that the smell increased to a point, where it stayed the same,,but day one "out of the lab" it was odorless!
