Strike's book on sale again?
« on: July 06, 2011, 12:19:37 AM »
I see that TSII is available on amazon again and it's only $35. I tried to buy it last year and it was like $100 used and no longer being printed. I'm afraid to touch it now.

Wtf?

It's a shame I have to worry about having a certain fucking book. I'd love to have a hard copy, I don't really enjoy reading pdf's.
"Ego is a structure that is erected by a neurotic individual who is a member of a neurotic culture against the facts of the matter. And culture, which we put on like an overcoat, is the collectivized consensus about what sort of neurotic behaviors are acceptable."

yeah there is that whole thing of the fbi pulling library records just like the good old days.
the fibbies are pulling the same stuff they pulled back in the 60's
they been keeping records of book sales for ages.

I would be concerned about having that book in my possession even if bought secondhand, in person, and without records. You can't encrypt or instantaneously delete physical objects.

With the PDF out there everywhere, I can't see any reason for any chemist with even dry glassware to own a physical copy, Sasha excepted. Attempt is so vague and overreaching.

one time i had a copy of pihkal taken out of my bags while traveling by air.
not to inspire paranoia nothing came of it.
it just goes to show people with a little authority think they can do what ever they want.
