I actually posted something in the Den, so I thought I would introduce myself.
I've had a long time theoretical interest in chemistry, medicine, law and drugs (Cannabis, psychedelics, stimulants, entheogens, entactogens and things that take you sideways).
I'm old, maybe not as old as Geez (who knows?), not as old as some of my friends.
Particularly my imaginary friends:
One first did acid in the USA when it was legal. That's old.
Another got high as a young boy one night and didn't come down for ten years. That one got aggravated when the price of crystal meth went from $10 a gram to $15 and he decided to learn to make it himself. That's really old. He definitely remembers the days when Aldrich would sell you anything (complete with heat). Good imaginary man, when the USA outlawed p2p, long before the hive, he went to the library and found the Organic Syntheses procedures and learned the chemistry and equipment he needed to pull them off.
Many friends, older and younger, are registered marijuana patients and/or caregivers or work in dispensaries.
I was fortunate enough to meet Sasha at a conference where he was a guest of honor. Everyone should have the opportunity to do that. I hope he's recovering from the stroke and foot ulcer, doesn't seem to be any recent news on the net.
I really enjoy lurking here, you folks are more of my "community" than the people that live in my neighborhood. Thanks, Vesp. Maybe I'll try to post enough to gain access to the broader community.
