anyone notice?
« on: August 11, 2011, 03:12:51 PM »
that the same assclowns standard and poors who rated junk securities as AAA in 2007 are downgrading our debt rating?
me thinks they need to start taking hostages at the S&P, until they agree to rate our debt to more amenable terms.
don't we have navy seals and delta force to twist people's arms?
seriously? what do you mean my credit's no good?

It's been noticed.  What no one (except maybe Jon Stewart) is mentioning that the renowned Dodd/Frank bill which was supposed to fix the conflict of interest hasn't even been funded and only 38 of the proposed 200 or so rules have even been written.

So no one's minding the store but they are happy to take credit for having passed the bill.  Too bad they don't enforce drug laws like that!!

i noticed they are still betting with derivitaves and other risky financial weapons of mass destruction it seems deregulation continues unabated.
the next big wave of defaults will come with student loans.
i wonder if default swaps can be bought for student loans?

No, the next wave to hit, which is already cresting, is the interest only loans that became popular about 3 years ago. Big ugly things are happening now (in the last 3 days) that are gonna make hard for all of us.

We need to stop using the S&P 500 index.
