I know there have to be some rules of thumb that relate chemical structure to solubility, I just can't seem to find them. Surely when picking a rextalization solvent you don't just blindly start dumping your product in test tube after test tube of various solvents looking for that perfect blend of only soluble in hot whatever. However I'm almost to that point. I would love to hear that XXX is the preferred solvent to rextalize mda, but I would much rather take something with me that I can apply to future projects, something more general.
Too stupid a question?
