Hello.. I'm known under different names on other boards but glad someone pointed me to this place. Looking decent here - I was hoping for something like synthetikal to come back or the hive (come on, there's gotta be a secret Tor board more like the hive by now).
I'm very interested in new compounds or alterations of current ones, especially psychedelics. I love stimulants of the amphetamine variety. A while back I had a chemist friend (R.I.P .. OD in 2007 some of you may know who i'm talking about) and we had a couple plans:
Grow cubensis with various amounts of extracted DMT and analyze (with his pro lab access like NMR/LCMS) the results to find out the optimum amount to add (up to 4-5x potency increase, mostly more psilocin from what i've read). Also was gonna try just adding the ground up mimosa bark without extraction and see if it still works and find the optimum amount (a few dollars worth of bark for 5x potent shrooms? etc. why hasn't it been done yet?). Also add 5-MeO-DMT (shulgin suggested 4-HO-5-MeO-DMT might come out (but nobody tried it, as usual), tryptamine hcl, and a few other's to see what came out. The shroomery people despise this kind of research for some reason.. hate that board.
Another (thanks to a synthetikal post by someone who accidentally made 2,5-dma-3,4,6-trichloroamphetamine and said it was active and a good psych at 5-10mg) was to over chlorinate, over brominate, iodinate (sp) all combinations (like DOI with a 3,6-bromo etc) and test em all out shulgin style.
I am not a chemist and ya'll are prob way smarter than myself at chemistry, most i've done is stuff like mesc/dmt/bufotenin extractions, or making DMT salts or freebasing things.
