about 1 kg of wet morning glory leaf made like this
« on: September 14, 2011, 07:01:33 AM »
now i know the science journls would have it extrcted in tartaric acid in a blender and spun down at15,000 g's then that neutralized and extracted and so on
i just did ths:
i peeled the leaf until i had a kilo or so and blended it with reisling.]
the effects?
good  lsa trip very powerful color intensification so we all know it's possible to graba rucksack and harvest the vine this ime if year.
i'd say i consumed easily 10 mg of lsa not to mention the other stuff.
also run t through a one legged stocking and squeeze the shit out of it.
gets the roughage out of it.
if i were to extract the goods i'd filter it through sandand use water/tartaric acid and a chemisorbant like bentontonite and just rinse it with water (lots of goods in those vine levves.)

use a blacklight to follow progress, it works.

I would bet watering the plant with a HATi or cutting the base off, and dipping it in a vase full of HATi's (garcinol, etc) to allow the plant to suck it up into the leaves, exposing the fungi in it to the HATi and waiting several days after would increase the LSA content.

Two things jonmon, what do you mean by "peeled" the leaf ???

And how did you ascertain it was "easily 10mg", what do you think the high end might have been? ::)
Also how much reisling did you use, and how much of the product do you think/know you drank :-\ ;D

 cheers mate,Hyppy

Are there Alkaloids in the leafs?
I always thought the fungus is living in the seeds exclusively?

tartaric acid extraction with khat

One of my pupils, is interested in these science journals references with tartaric acid extraction, and would like to apply it to khat? Can you please post, as I'm time poor to search?

Thanks!

The fungus lives throughout the plant but only produces alkaloids in significant amounts in the seed. This is either due to the structure of the seed, or the contents. I personally feel it is the contents of the seeds; I bet they contain alkyrosichinols, as many other seeds do (esp. grain) that have been recorded and known to get clavicepacea fungi to produce more alkaloids as they are histone acetyltransferase inhibitors (HATi's) -- I bet you could get the fungi in the leaves to produce alkaloids in higher amounts if you were to expose them to HATi's, perhaps in a similar way that one colors a white rose with food dye.
