What you are seeing is a verification system used to prevent spam bots. It goes away after the 5th post, I believe? Its not the best system, as spam still gets by it every now and then but it stops a lot of the bots.

Try to post in actually sentences, and thoughts.  Even though I am expert at reading peoples minds via a single word and an emoticon it is by far less than ideal.
