No, they aren't poor if they're driving fancy cars and eating out every day. Unless it was all taken out on loans and the party's about to end with a bankruptcy.

There are many working people in the US who can barely afford (if they can at all) to eat at home, see a doctor, or even just drive a shitty car... see how far 7.25/hour gets you in a major metropolitan area, that's less than 10k a year after taxes. You can't find a room for less than 500 a month in any major city, that's 6000 a year. Eating out every day would be a minimum of 20 bucks a day and 20 x 365 = 7300. Doesn't add up...

welfare pays out good. Food stamp scams are ramped. McDonalds are EVERYWHERE.

I don't disagree, There are HONEST poor people that have it hard.
but I see it first hand, everyday in the not so honest areas.

Welfare really doesn't pay out well anymore. You get a couple hundred bucks a month at best, and in many states you're limited to a couple years of eligibility for your entire lifetime. Food stamps are hard to get, and most people get around 10-20 bucks a month out of them. Max is usually 150 a month. You're usually required to look for work daily to remain eligible.

Those who are "poor" and living it up are probably selling drugs... or up to something else illicit... the numbers just don't add up.
