I cannot believe my ears.......
« on: March 03, 2012, 09:48:55 PM »
I was informed from a reliable source that someone I know from my hometown (a galaxy far far away) was arrested for Manufacture of a schedule 2 controlled substance to whit: methamphetamine.  I was shown  the news reported describing the arrest.  It seems my FOAF had "local law enforcement execute a search warrant on his residence where they found a scale, baggies with residue, and paraphernalia.  Further search of his garage led police to find a fish aquarium filled with charcoal and various toxic chemicals mixed in the bottom.  The fish tank was sealed airtight with a mop strung through holes drilled in plexiglass which the officers knew to be a meth lab.  The defendant was arrested and held without bond."

I thought this was the funniest shit I had ever read.  To be arrested for manufacture, then, when you finally make it to prison, to spend the next 20 years being laughed at by all the real chemists cuz you are a completely fucking idiot!  It won't make anything useful, but you can still get 20 years for intent, cuz how else can you explain a stupid setup like that. a fish tank with a mop on it!

Oh dear lord...
I was curious what the heck this "fish tank charcoal method" was -- you know, surely it can't be as stupid as it sounds.... this is what I found:

What an awful website/community. One of the worst things I've seen on the internet.

Perhaps they were doing a fermentation.  Surely the residue tested positive for something besides algae!

I've got papers on it somewheres...

LMAO! I recall the blueing method from the AC on charcoal and all I seem to recall of the practical outcome was a cyanogen white fluff of some kind.

It grew crystals, but this would be easily defended as an attempt to grow completely innocuous crystalline formations. At least, one would think so...

Never used the mop thing though. Mine, when I was about 12, was done in an open dish sitting on top of the microwave.
Alimentary, dear Watson; I had a gut feeling.

how can they charge him with making meth when he did'nt know what he was doing?
maybe they could land a charge of stupidity and it would stick.

Yes, in the US, you can get charged when attempting to procure powdered sugar  when they know it is for the purpose of making fake-cocaine bags to sell. (As in they see you previously selling cocaine, and have bags in your car/home).

F ucking damn is toady glad he doesn't live in the states. He  would probably have, injuries to knee causing damage to hip in the process, more close quarters training and a gauss pistol in each trenchcoat pocket for that reason. When He stirreth in His demesne in R'yleh, he sees this sort of shit going down and is sick to his stomach, regardless if who he last ate. Ye elder One  has his stomach churn in disgust at what he reads.

The Shitheads here are just incompetent fucking liars (toady just got charged, pigs delivered  a change of and extension of bail date/time by hand at the last fucking second.....and don't know their own misuse of drugs act off by heart)

Those in the US are part of a highly corrupt, verminous and most virulent cancer which has attatched itself to the blood supply of the people, busily metastasizing, festering, and slithering throiugh the hearts and minds of of the US populace. Truly will His heart leap with joy every time he hears of the painful extinction of but one single virion.

Blessings of ye elder toad be upon the ballistic trajectory upon each and every  round fired against that cancerous abomination that is the DEA, for verily is their due woe and torment, wristblade and shaped charge.

Fucking bastards.

i would sooner use a blade myself.

Or a crossbow. They are rather stylish. Firearms law is rediculously strict over this side of the pond. That poor bastard raul moat had to make do with a shotgun. Even the bloody olympics handgun teams are stuffed  I'm surprised the bugger with a blank round starting races  doesn't get a cavity search before, AND after starting the 100 meters run like buggery.  Although afaik muskets are technically legal to own. Glad the pigs don't get the chance to go around strapped though any more than they do do already. Even clamped down on good swords the cheeky bastards. Which of course leads to only the hardcore crims having anything decent...at least, excluding those that get planted. I'd probably be the only one on the estate should the taliban themselves come chittering away for english blood who ISN'T a hardcore crim type with anything in the home better than a kitchen knife. its only really farmers and toffs who have shottys.

There was a sad case here, not all that long ago where some woman quite probably only avoided doing time after reporting a theft where her recently dead husband's former service revolver was stolen amongst other items.  I really felt for the poor woman. Bunch of spineless bastards we are stuck with for government, and actually pressing charges..jesus.

I'd still hate pigs with every bit of passion I have were I never to have been so much as stoppped in the street.

its worth the risk to me, be looking at a decade inside even if if I had no ammo, over here your either already a crim with a bunch to lose, freedom aside if you own any conventional weaponry that isn't bladed, or energy-based.

I don't live a lifestyle where i do business with thugs either, but I do keep some stuff around for home protection. I'm not going to go down without a fight alright, I never look for them, very rarely start one, but I don't take shit from anybody either. And I'll kill someone if i have to for me or my family or loved ones.

gun control is for the birds, i'd like to see what happens in america if they decide to confiscate guns.
lord knows they have been working on it.
the atf got caught running guns into mexico to put pressure on the second amendment.
the only reason to grab guns is to turn the citizens into subjects, serfs.

The part that really makes  me sick is here we all are dreaming about experiments with phenylalanine, cinnamaldehyde, l-pac, etc. trying to find ways to make all the precursors our gov'ts have taken away from us, and to think all we had to do all along is throw some shit in a fish tank and stick a mop on it, and our problems would be over.  LOL.

Sadly enough, I can just see the conversation the guy had with the cops when they busted him.  "Nah, I ain't no fucking dealer!  I'm a COOK!"  Lol.  In my state, you can be charged for damn near anything that the pigs don't understand.  I had a buddy arrested for merely possessing drain cleaner, camp fuel, and rock salt in the vehicle he was driving.  "intent to manufacture".  Never made it to court, but it does show you how stupid the laws can be when they wanna be Hero of the Day.

Read some of the other threads on that site. Some of it is pretty funny.

I read a few, and its funny in a I-can't-believe-there-are-such-stupid-people-in-the-world kinda way.  And when  someone says "there is one guy who knows his chemistry around here and he'll know" on a site about drugs/explosives chemistry, it   is more scary than funny.
