finding something to be a column is easy, it's what to put in it thats OTCish which idk...thought you might have some ideas, but now you gave me the other method I dont think it matters.

Good question lol. I honestly have no idea of what could be used to substitute silica/alumina. It doesn't means it doesn't exists though, I simply never asked myself that question considering I only used chromatography in school where those chemicals were readily-available  . Anyway, is silica gel supposed to be suspicious to buy lol  Pretty sure that  99.99% of the labs busted are not using chromatography 

By the way, after rethinking about it, psilocin would probably be very easy to separate from the phosphorylated alkaloids using chromatography considering it's a lot more polar with it's hydroxyl group. That's considering the phosphate esters on the others alkaloids are left untouched during extraction, which would certainly be the case if you're extracting them with MeOH. That's a lot of work though for about no-added benefit. It's all good though if you have a shitload of shrooms lying around and want to do some fun experimentation while honing your chromatography skills
