Just heard about this place today.  Recently been feeling like being involved in more online discussion/socialization, so I've been trying to get more active in forums which I'm already a member of, and I've joined a couple new ones as well.  Hopefully I'll speak up in some other topic on this site; we'll see.

Well, that's interesting enough to motivate me to reach 10 posts, at least.

As far as expertise goes, the only area in which I can lay such claims is pushing the boundaries of intoxication to extremities.

I am a student of chemistry, and have completed all but a few of the requirements for my Bs.  I'll try to exhibit as much else of myself in my posts as possible, lol.

You just get access to another part of the forum after 10 posts.

Hmm chemistry student, eh? Very nice! Any chance you also are skilled in PHP/Hacking, or some sort of programming? It seems that fairly often that is the second or first hobby of many members here. :)

Can't say that I'm skilled in any specific programming language, but I've exhibited a proclivity for learning in that direction, which I will pursue further, if I have the opportunity.  As of now, all I really have to offer this community is the sum of my life experiences, my somewhat limited scientific knowledge, and (dare I say) my own personality...

Well cool! That is all that is needed. I don't know shit for the most part. I just run the site and add my own ideas and visions to things.

Hi delysiduos,

I'm sure you will enjoy the site. Its a great community which lacks much of the flaming and infighting that is present on other sites. Most people are here to learn, educate and have fun. I'm sure you will be right at home.
