Hi people, Thanks for having me.
« on: April 14, 2012, 06:42:18 PM »
well i hate doing these introduction in person but it aint much better online :(

Anyway,i stumbled onto this site from another chemistry forum, who thought they were better then everyone just starting out (which im sure they where technically) more skills, but rude ppl dont need to make a newcommer feel like poop, so here i am :)
This forum destroys the other one anyways.

K iv always been interested in chemistry, im not a total amateur, but in no way a pro, i jus cruise along n like to learn abit of everything at my own pace till im on a mission to learn a specific topic.then i go overdrive.

My main interest at the moment is learning and perfecting l-pac --- > L- ephedrine synth, swim has done a good job with making a nice fermentation method to get it, now my part to to go from 2pac to ephy, ;/
Im sure ill find great info with the search, any help along the way will be appreciated.

Im from Australia, Melb
but im greek by nationality... but i swear im good with my money :)
ah jus joking, im terrible.. ah well

anyways, hope all goes well and can meet some less judgmental ppl, a nice small science community where we can all help each other without the egos an insults.

Live long, an prosper V

Peace

Welcome. Some of the most interesting/best work on that biosynthesis is from Australia, the University of New South Wales I believe. They have, what appears to be, a whole graduate department devoted to it. LOL

The students train there and take off to India to work in the production firms. LOL

What's the general method used by your friend to get to L-PAC. Once you have L-PAC, the rest is breeze, IMHO.

Hint: Go towards phenylpropylamine (rather than ephedrine) to get to 4-MAR or phenmetrazine. Much better IMHO.

I dont know much about it, but its fermented or (bio transformation, his words) using Benzaldehyde, dextrose and some other stuff, but to be honest i dont want to know too much bout the fermenting process so i dont ask much, he used to brew beer so he knows alot more bout that aspect then me.

i want to focus on my chemistry skills, altho ill find out for ya if u want.

And thanks for the tips, ill do some research on your recommendations and see which road leads where.

I love this forum already, nothing but science :)
Thanks again,

Peace
