Here's a couple of interesting articles on the use of tramadol concurrently with other medications, the benefits and possible side effects including seretonin syndrome
(which as it turns out is pretty rare!) as opposed to what we have been "led to believe" ::)

Considering many wasps play with modifying their seretonergic pathways, I thought this would help some of them make more informed decisions re; these taking these (and other) drugs which work on these pathways, which are named and the 'potential contra-indications' and 'cross tolerances' are quite comprehensively outlined and discussed in these articles

I also hope it might make some wasps more 'aware' of the likelihood of  'why' a Dr would be Rxing one (or more!) of these drugs to them or someone they know/love, in an 'attempt'  to treat a wide range of symptoms from depression, ADHD and 'bipolar disorders' to men/manopause and erectile dysfuntion!

This group of drugs which act on the seretonergic pathways are called SSRIs and SNRI (Selective Seretonin (and or Norepinephrine) Reuptake Inhibitors, which do exactly that.

Unfortunately these 'pathways' are only starting to be understood now, yet these drugs have been being Rx'd for 20+years! and are WELL KNOWN to have crazy 'rebound withdrawal' effects where people go crazy trying to stop taking them

There are thousands of people "on" these drugs who have been 'trying to Stop' for YEARS without success, the withdrawal symptoms being just too severe!  And several forums dedicated to helping them :o 8)

Apparently the two kids doing the shooting at Columbine were taking (or maybe had just stopped) these 'medications' assisting in their warped behavior.

I have seen these 'negative effects' first hand, where previously "quiet" people become "psychokillers" if they dont take their "medication!"

And yet they can work well for many types of depression AND as they DO make a Shitload of money for Big Pharma who are constantly trying to find "new applications" for these compounds >:( it's the LAST product they want stopped or restricted!

SSRI are quite dangerous in my opinion.
ive taken fluoxetine myself for half a year, and im quite sure it was the reason i got sick with CFS.

http://www.dailystrength.org/c/Chronic_Fatigue_Syndrome/forum/6564418-can-ssris-cause-cfs

basically, this means that SSRI are downregulating dopaminergic transmission.

after all id place SSRI closer to neuroleptics than antidepressives. lower dopamine levels would also explain why SSRI are quite effective against fear and obsessive-compulsive-disorders. im pretty sure the serotonergic system is involved in CFS, since the two antiepileptics phenibut and gabapentin (neurontin) made it MUCH worse in my case- after looking around i found a study stating that they release serotonin from red blood cells- peripherally, of course.

since im taking bupropion, the CFS is gone.... and yeah, as we all know bupropion acts on norepinephrine and dopamine.
hope that brings some light on this case.

my closing sentence: if youre depressive with classic symptoms like severe lack of motivation- please do yourself a favor and deny taking SSRIs, ask your practitioner if it wasnt dopamine that winds up our springs....
