Dying, coloring microcrystalline cellulose
« on: August 24, 2009, 09:01:20 PM »
Can you/how do you dye microcrystalline cellulose or other binders to give your pills color? Can you also dye MDA/MDMA or is it better left alone for quality sake?

I wouldn't try dying the actives if I were you, Instead I'd dye the binder such as the cellulose and then ball mill, or something it with the actives.

I don't know how you'd dye the cotton material though, but I'd imagine food color or something would work well enough.

I know its off topic but allow me to derail this threed with my unwanted opinion. FUCK DYING! Anyone that pays for pills should know that color is not an option. There is no honor in producing your own dyed pills since only children really want a blue or green pill. Keepem clean and keepem white.... Always Stay white is my moto......

Fuck it.... back to your regularly schedualed programing.

^^^^ If everyone is going to have white tablets then how are you going to distinguish your good stuff from the crap out there. By the same stupid smiley face on them? Coloring and printing is about branding so eventually everyone in the city is going "nah man I only want those kick ass purple ones". Besides what harm can food colored binders possibly due to the pure MDA/MDMA??? I doubt anything bad.

As the cops say "ah yes, the purple pill maker! We've seen and heard about these! We'll get him good!"

If I were to ever do such a thing, I'd try to have each batch of pills be structurally completely different from one another...

Well thats an easy one...... Look on dancesafe.org..... The color ones ARE the crap out there. They are 80% of the time either DXM or a mixture of PCP Meth and/or MDA. That is crap.

They are more worryed about the market then good product and colored pills make MANY people say no just because of face value. Ask many here who will agree with me. I use to have a major problem selling colored pills as opposed to white ones. The smiley face really does say it all to people. They know the brand and that holds in there mind for some time. Give me a tripple stacked mitsubiashi and I would take that anyday IF they where still the real deal like they where before the WOD shut down the maker.

PS: Vesp read the new microgram like V16 spoke of in the BZP threed. They are all different yet it was not hard for the cops to find they are from a common source even though they are all different colors and shapes.

Surely there would be a way around this though. Use different binders, different method of manufacturing the substance, add bizarre things in one, everything totally different.

Sedit, I can agree with you there, especially when all the shit around you is typically colored.  Then everyone will go nuts for the "white-blanks" or "smartees".  However, german, if you wish to dye, your goal is to find a lake color.  It's an aluminum based compound, not water soluble, great dry dye.  If you read ingredients on consumer candy, a lot of them have something like "Red 33 lake, Blue 2 lake" etc.  Finding a supplier can be tough, but look around.  Check bakeries, or confectioneries, they're your greatest chance.  Read more about them on google.  Also called "lake pigments"

i recommend just selling pure powder for a number of reasons...

1) if caught you are charged for the amount of powder not powder + binder (this can be a big deal)

2) if you educate your clients they will come to trust your product (explain that most pill are adulterated)

3) show them what pure md powders look like (a good eye can tell when a powder has been cut, fresh material looks different then cut)

4) much easier. much.
