yep cyborg for sure  :D

I love melbourne truly I think its got the most culture in oz.

sydney and brisbane are great too but melbourne has a sweet spot for me.

I remeber going to the blues brothers night a the valhalla in northcote was a total blast.

I think brisbane has the best free food though its all run by people who want to drag
you to some church gig.

you know the type were they think that they can heal with there hands from great distances.
still a free meal is a free meal.

I used to go with an mp3 player and eat as much as I could with out chucking.

sydney has an awsome street life and I love otford area and up near hawksburry river.

I used pick oysters fresh off the rocks up on the hawksburry.

all the locals kept telling me they were poisoned. I think they just wanted them all
for them selves.

yep gotta say melbexico is a great place--born and bred there meself--prahran way--but i reckon that adelaide has produced some of oz's best rap with the 'hilltop hoods' that 'restrung' album of theirs is a pearler!!! plus powderfinger and grinspoon are another couple of contempory oxz bands i really like---wot about you guys/grrrls?

sydney has greatly improved its overall friendliness,,(since the olympics i reckon...but they still are a pretty "cliquey" bunch and dont adopt us melbexicans too readilly,,they're are suspicious of our friendly ways and social tolerance,
,in melbexico 85% of my mates had a grandparent from "another country" whereas here i have never met SO many ozzy+ozzy mums, dads and grandparents!!! i dont have ANY friends in melb who's families have "convict" pasts,,but its another fuckin story up here!!! there is a definate pride up here in having "conections to convict roots!! hmmm?)

its a really pretty city--i abseil buildings around town and clean windows, paint, fix things etc and half the places i end uo working are WICKED!!!!
last year around november i was working in nth bondi right on a clifftop, and 3 times in 3 days we had whales cruise by below us,maybe 300mts away within 30mins of arriving on the job,,i mean what can you say to an 'office' like that?!!! :o

shame about the humidity tho, melbexico's "dry heat" is much easier to handle--tho you guys have been getting hammered the last few months eh? its kinda strange living up here,,NEVER thought i would,,,but hey,,,gotta say its Not TOO Bad!!! 8)

the beaches ROCK and the water is much warmer,,i.e 4-6degrees c i.e 18-22c instead of 14-16c which IMHO is a bit 'fresh' even on those days of 40+c-your cold within 10 mins of getting in and dry by the time you get back to your towel!!! plus the sand is too fuckin hot to walk on--somehow doesnt seem to get so hot(the sand) up here,,but hey, my feet have been giving me unreliable data for a few years now!!! getting better tho,,,

that said,,we NEED to consolidate our resources my fellow aussies...(i shall elaborate in another thread)--i think we have a wonderful resource here in this forum,,as as we all know " from little things, BIG things grow!!!!" 8) ;D

so " go shard" mateys

love and humidity from your fellow forum fiend

hmmm, the philharmonic orchestra in synch with someone rapping "back that ass up!"
sounds a bit odd, what is it with "hip hop" over there?
has it become popular? can i invent some stupid tunes, and don gold plated chains, wear a wifebeater and become an overnight celebrity?

we just got an UNmarried, childless AND Living in Sin with a man, :o type woman for Prime Minister :o I think she's pretty cool, but we'll see..... we are affected by the US in a big way, like much of the world-I think they are our biggest trading partner..maccas is everywhere!! we are a young and easily influenced country and culture :-[ yet overall its a very friendly, easy place to live, but it wont stay good forever, as our resources are limited, especially things like water...its a rather dry country :P

"throw those camphor trees in the wood chipper for me will ya? i'll handle the rest..."   I have no doubt you would, and very finely indeed,, ah 'tis a shame my friend, however, I still think you take a 'peek' at what 'one needs' to come here, and then start tickin off the list, oyu might be pleasantly surprised!!!

Man you'd be most pleasantly surprised just How Inneffective some of these agencies Truly Can Be!!!

Shit, it can not only depend on the time of day! it candepend on whether that person is "satisfied"(enough coffee, cigarette breaks, pays the bills, had a decent crap that morning!!!  But hey, lucky us,!!! those folks can often be in a 'satisfied' mood, and if you happen to approach them while they are, the chances improve dramatically--kinda like if you go to a shop to buy something, but the store is due to close in 10 mins, BUT there's heaps of paperwork to get 'checked' or somesuch..

Matey I believe "without a shadow of a doubt" that Truth IS Stranger than Fiction....man it would be a GREAT tale to tell when you  got back (on a flight of your choosing ,of course!) you could write a book about it, and swih knows people, who know people, who know people, who KNOW how to make SURE you had some damn fine fun time, checking out those
kangaroos and the camphoroos too!!!
