Importing and Exporting chemicals - Licenses?
« on: December 15, 2009, 12:03:46 AM »
So many people try to import chemicals, and thats exporting them from other countries...

But everytime someone tries this, they always ask her for an export license, and say it costs 850 dollars to get.

What is this export license? (shipping from south africa) How does she get one, and especially can you forge it? 850 just to get a one time chemical is quite a lot.

In my experience most of those licenses are scams, and the legit people dont ask you to pay for something to do business with them.  Myabe just my experience and i'm quite drunk and rambling take it with a grain of salt.  Also I agree China is awesome

You don't need an export license the business you are ordering from will already have one if it's a company you'd even want to do business with. Do not send your hard earned cash to South Africa, nothing but scammers there. Next you're going to be telling us about your friend who can't get his million in cash through customs without you sending him a blank check/massive western union. Same type of situation, you don't need a license to import things for personal use and legitimate companies will ALL have an export license prior to you contacting then or they wouldn't exist at all. Just order from someone else who's not trying to scam you and avoid S.Africa like the plague ;) Jon is right about Asia, going through a company around that area you are far less likely to get scammed.

I hear business with S.A. is not as bad as its made out to be, suppliers that side are relatively friendly and dont ask difficult questions if any at all. They will have the license and apparently will just ask you to sign and mail back an end user decl. which can be made out to an individual.

lol, ^5.

their engrish really sucks tho.

also, apparently, after they recently found a drug enforcement dept at customs here, which started with a certain operation to deal with chems coming from china... almost nothing gets through nowadays. unless you are ready to deal with bribing officials, which will either work or not. and if not, you'll end up handcuffed & bulgarian jails ain't pretty.

some dude who was importing amphetamines via a legit supplements company got fucked. some 2 keys, he went to pick it up.. it was all over the news.

man, it was so much better when the commies had the power. the bulgarian socialist party, a bunch of corrupt, demented alcoholics with dubious backgrounds, but still, much better than what we have now.

your fuckin DEA opened an office here...

after much hesitation who should be anally raping us, the US or russia, we finally sold ourselves to you. :P

altho many of the local chem houses will gladly work with you if you have the dough.
buying stuff like actyl chloride or anhydride, they just, in a friendly manner, warn you to be careful not to get caught with it, on the way out. many of them struggle to make a living, so they don't ask questions, just do their best to make you a happy customer.
but importing is becoming more and more problematic.

Why would they ask for an end user declaration? I've never had to do that in a decade of ordering things from over seas.

Nope, not a single time. Once the money transfers it's up to you what you do.
Alimentary, dear Watson; I had a gut feeling.
